Is there an age after which it becomes impossible, for all practical purposes, to be seriously considered for positions requiring clearances.
I was first cleared at 44 with no problems. Went through the entire process again at 55 and was cleared in about 18 months. Obviously, as you age, more and more things have happened to you. However, the same is true for those who have been retaining their clearance as well. I don’t think that age has anything to do with it.
I would say probably 100+ and they might not grant a clearance. 
Joking, I don’t think they can discriminate by age so…
