Hello,

I was picked up for a new company (received and signed the Offer Letter) and was told I need to go through a clearance crossover. They told me it would take between 2 and 4 weeks for the process. A little background, I started my reinvestigation for my Periodic Review on March 2019, reinvestigation was completed on October 2019, and I am still waiting for adjudication. My clearance was held by DOD and is moving to DOD.

Some questions I had were:

- Why would the new employer tell me not to tell my current employer until the clearance crossover is complete?

- Will waiting for my adjudication affect the time the crossover will take?

Thanks in advance for any information provided!

They may stop the clearance process.
