That could be. My company is always a sub at this point. But… the PM on the program is upset this is taking so long. No one seems to be able to get a straight answer as to why this is taking more than 3 months at this point. We have others going through the same process on other contracts that we are sub to and they are in the same boat as me.

I recall another scenario where getting approved for a new contract can be delayed: there has been a change in the government official who has to approve such things. But that usually results in a delay of a couple of weeks at the very most.
Yes. They are a sub. The prime is Peraton. Their PM had been advocating for me to the VA customer’s security officer. See my last post from today.
I’m currently unemployed but my clearance was successfully adjudicated at the end of March. My FSPOLY is only 3 years old. See my latest post for the excuse I got today.
So to update, despite my PR (or whatever TF they are calling it these days), I was just notified that I was denied the position due to “unadjudicated information”. There isn’t!!! My PR was successfully adjudicated at the end of March!!! I am well and truly fed up with the lack of accountability from the security offices. It’s a black hole that cannot be challenged and I just lost ANOTHER job because of it. And yes, I filed a FOIA. Fat lot of good that will do me! And I wrote my congressional rep. Again, fat lot of good that will do me.
This has left me with no hope of employment. I wonder if those in charge of clearances understand just how much damage their inefficiencies and screw-ups do to us. Do they even care? I doubt it.
I was in a very similar situation a few years ago. I was working at the NRO on a CIA contract. The agency decided to pull the contract and let us go. When I went to find a new job I was told that I had unadjudicated information and would have to start the clearance process all over from the start to correct the issue. I said I did not understand because my clearance was just a few years old and it was fine when I was hired on a couple years ago. The agency would not give me or my company any information. I was unemployed for about 16 months total. It took 6 months to find a new sponsor and then 10 months to go through the clearance process again. In the end it did work out for me but I had to go through all of my savings and used 2 credit cards to get through it.

UGH! I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve been unemployed since I left a contract in March 2025. 17 months. I’ve done everything they’ve asked of me, including a PR that was basically a new investigation. That was successfully adjudicated at the end of March this year. And NOW there’s “unadjudicated information”??? I call BS. But since there’s ZERO accountability in clearance offices, I’m screwed. I’m at the end of my rope. Nope hope left. (and now I’m crying)
Did you get your FOIA on your clearance from Scattered Castles? That will tell you what is open in the system and who opened it.
I have some good news for you. “Unadjudicated information” only effects Scattered Castles, which means if you have a clearance posted in DISS, then you can still get a job. Scattered Castles and DISS do not “talk” to each other meaning if one database shows you have an open investigation, the other database will not show it which means your clearance is usable.
This is the point at which it is worth talking to a clearance attorney
