New employer application

Applying to a new cleared job with a different defense contractor. I self reported a one off drug use to my current FSO that happened in 2015. The employment application is going to ask me if used drugs in the past. Would this look unfavorable to a new employer? Would it harm my chances of having an offer rescinded? Asking HR oriented people…

Do you have a record of your report to your current FSO? I’m not certain that an employment application will ask that question. They are going to look and see if you have a current/active clearance. But, you will have to report this on your PR when it comes up.

Will it cause you to have your offer rescinded? That depends on the hiring company.

I have a copy of the self-reported incident. I understand that it will have to report it again, until the reporting time window exceeds. Thanks for your response.
