# New to the clearance process

Hello!

Just got offered a position that I’ll need to obtain a Top Secret clearance for. I did not know how extensive this investigation would be until the recruiter gave me a sample of the SF-86. Man, I’m scared. Here are some concerns I have:

I extended the dates on about 3 of the jobs I have on my resume (the longest extension being 10 months). I also left off a job I had about 10 years ago and a contract job from my resume. I did the work, have the correct titles and company names; I just embellished the dates on a few. I plan to put all the correct info on my SF-86. Would that be enough to mitigate the fib?

I took marijuana/thc 3 times in my life. In 2009, 2018, and 2019.

I was born and raised in the US, but my parents weren’t. I have dual citizenship for another country (friendly country to the US) by way of my parents. I’ve only visited this country once in my life (for a funeral).

Does this information raise red flags?
