# Public Trust/High Risk - Credit Check

For a high-risk public trust, is a credit check performed? I currently have a Secret clearance, will it be sufficient or will i need a new background investigation?

No. Secret clearance investigation (Tier 3) does not equate to High Risk Public Trust (Tier 4) and yes credit check and interview are required.
