I’m currently interviewing with each of the NBIB contractors in Boston area. I’ve had a video interview with each and I believe that it’s likely that I will get more than one offer.
I was hoping that someone with more experience could give me some insight on which company provides the best career outlook.
Here are some of my priorities/questions:
The salary for entry BIs is acceptable at each of the companies so I wouldn’t make a decision on starting pay alone. I do care about working for a company that cares about quality. I know they’re all focused on quantity but one must be better than the rest. I also care about work/life balance. Again, I’m sure they’re bad for all of them but I’d like to pick the best.
Which has the has the quickest start date for training after my clearance goes through? I’ve heard SCIS has delayed their training in the past.
Which company tends to hold on its employees for the longest period of time? I’ve heard that KGS burns people out fairly quickly. Is this still true or did they get over the rough patch?
Which company has the best supervisors? I don’t mind being pressured to do more work, but I would like clear communication.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and I hope to pay it forward at some point.
