I recently had a phone interview with a prospective employer. I gave them my SS#, so they verify the status of my clearance. I was told that I am “SECRET Eligible” and I could put that on my resume. Is that the same as an interim clearance? Does that status make me eligible to apply on ClearanceJobs.com?
No . . . It’s better . . . If an employer brings you on board, they can “activate” your clearance. Right now, you are only “eligible” because you don’t have a job that requires access to classified information.
