A few years ago, someone from the Middle East signed up for Snapchat with my email. Since the service doesn’t seem to verify the user is really the email owner, I was getting lots of emails and updates in Arabic or whatever language it was.
I eventually got fed up enough and annoyed one day, I did the password reset, made a long, unbreakable password, and locked whoever this was out. I haven’t touched it since.
How much is this a problem for the clearance process? I just submitted my SF86 and thought of this after the fact. I don’t want some goober ruining my clearance process. Anyone out there encountered this? I don’t use social media. I have Facebook, and check that maybe once a year, and update even less frequently.
