The Department of Defense just announced it’s pushing back TS PRs to every 6 years, rather than 5 years, in an effort to reduce the 500,000+ security clearance backlog. PRs that have been submitted but the case remains unopened will fall under the new 6-year timeline. The policy will be reviewed before the end of the year.
