I work for a security company that provides security for various other companies. The company FSO is located in another state and is someone who I have never met. The company we provide security for has a way of finding out where a persons security clearance is at and in what the security clearance is in. The FSO put a call in, just to find out where my clearance is and due to the shutdown his contact is on furlough. So after quite a while I still do not know anything.
Makes sense. Friend of friend is furloughed…no more back door access.
