"Admitting" to something that isn't true on polygraph

Recently denied a clearance in the IC, in large part because I “admitted” to the polygrapher that I had intentionally omitted a couple of past part-time jobs (each at least 6 years in the past) from the SF-86. In truth it was an unintentional omission, and I initially said that at the polygraph, but I caved under pressure and allowed the polygrapher to lead me down a certain path.

I was predictably denied clearance. On a scale of 1 to 10 how screwed am I in the appeals process? Dead in the water?

I will go and argue that the omissions weren’t intentional, but is my “admission” at the polygraph considered to be fact now, as far as this organization is concerned?

Never heard of a successful appeal of a polygraph result. The best you could hope for would be another try but in my experience that’s pretty rare.
