If I have a Secret clearance with State and take a position with DHS that only requires a Public Trust, do I automatically lose my Secret clearance?

When you leave one agency for another the clearance does not transfer, rather they look at the level of investigation that was done to see if it meets the requirements. A Secret clearance does not mean you meet the requirements for a Public Trust position so you may have to undergo an upgrade investigation.
