Now . . . I’m not going to blame this on Trump. I might suggest that the issue is Liberals in cleared positions who think that their dislike of the administration justifies defying their obligation. Or we can blame it on increased efforts infiltrate our intelligence community.
But, no matter where you want to lay the blame, this drives home the issues facing those who are trying to investigate and adjudicate cleared personnel.
Sadly, this dangerous game is how Washington DC works. Lower level employees have higher risk as they may not have anything to fall back on. Several higher profile people lost clearances and jobs because they allowed their political views to influence their responsibilities. In short, “just DON’t do it.”
This is actually leaks of this administration. Some insiders do the work, sometimes. This is the second administration I’ve been invited to and I know for a fact.
Aren’t the leaks from the administration itself? Signalgate and what’s happening at the DoD are all from this administration’s appointees…
When you create a toxic chaotic volatile workplace and then treat your employees horribly with no sense of character, ethics ,or integrity they often become vindictive and leaky. Hurt people, hurt people and will hurt their country if they perceive their country has turned against them.
What do expect when you have a guy at the top who clearly stole classified intelligence products, hid them, shared with friends, lied about declassifying them, said he was allowed to, told his attorneys to lie that he returned them, said “they are mine”, tried to negotiate their return as if he owned them and then obstructed to not return them. That precedent was disgusting and set the trend for what we should expect from them.
That’s not a very good excuse to sell out your country.
People have turned on their spouses, parents, and children for much less. Hurt people, hurt people.
So did the last administration. A alleged drug user had access to classified documents because they were out in the open in his garage. He was not prosecuted because he was not mentally competent.

I could have but I turned down a contractor job at White House in the situation room in the last administration. I just laughed at the recruiter.

You have no idea what you are talking about. It was not an entry level job. If it was I would have said so. I was actually hand picked for the job. When I laughed at the recruiter she did not know what to say other than I was hand picked. Just because you say it is dumb does not mean that I am wrong. I was tasked there So I know what the jobs are. Besides the Chiefs and coms ppl, they are entry level analyst and liaisons positions. You clearly were not a chief given you couldn’t even understand this simple thread.

I am telling you the truth. This was at the start of the last Administration so about 4 years ago. I got a call from a recruiter and the recruiter said that I was hand picked. You are not the all knowing that you think you are. You are not briefed on everything that you think you are. I laughed at the recruiter and she did not know that I am MAGA. I am in my 50s and I have been in my field for over 30 years. You do not know everything. You are actually a security issue because you have a huge EGO. People with a huge EGO do not like to be wrong and they are the one that goes and talk to Russia. You tell me how is Russia. You should know. Check that EGO at the door. You are not all knowing. You did not get briefed on everything.
