The comparison between polygraphy and E-meter auditing is an apt one, as both rituals involve a similar kind of magical thinking.

Couldn’t agree more. One of the reasons I’d never apply for a job that requires one…I’m not interesting in placating the magical thinking of the superstitious in any area of my life.
