Now we’re getting only 7-day ACDs which includes the weekends. So technically we’re only getting 5 days to complete our workload. Investigators for both primes are receiving the same 7-day turnaround I’m hearing. How is this sustainable for the field? I’m sure Reviewers will start feeling the brunt of it too. I’m glad work is picking up so don’t get me wrong. But 5 days is not enough time and will cause a lot of stress on the field. What are your thoughts?
It’s absolutely absurd. The industry standards and requirements are unrealistic and cases will lack quality with such quick turnaround times.
We as Investigators have no control or power though. All we can do is complain on a blog but complaining does nothing.
100% agree with you. But at least we can vent to each other.sone times that helps.
This industry needs to be unionized for Investigators and even reviewers so Investigators can negotiate realistic metrics. Not to mention salary and healthy compensation for the work we perform but unionizing is like a bad word and anyone that would attempt to do so would be rooted out and eviscerated by the vendors and this industry if this ever came to light that plans were being made. You’d think an organization like ACBI with their organization and leadership would be best suited to pursue this as an option but I’ve never heard them discuss this as a possible option.
They won’t. They take your annual fees and that’s it. I thought they were also looking for group health insurance for contractors? But unionization would be great for CIs.
Yes, not only do they want the cases to be done quick, they also expect them to be nearly perfect in quality
We have been told it’s a pilot program to see if it’s feasible. It’s in our collective best interest if we do not meet our ACD expectations. I will be doing my job the same as before, and the chips will fall where they may.
Wow if this is the case they’re putting us through this stress as a “pilot program”? I call it mmm that a form of mental abuse because they know it’s not feasable but they’re trying it anyway?
Where did you hear this information and from what vendor indicated this is a pilot program?
Unfortunately I believe this is the new norm of seven due dates.
Unfortunately some investigators are brainwashed/scared by the employers/management. You know that FIs will just be working off the clock to meet these expectations.
CACI. All communication from the top down to the SLs are saying it’s “just a pilot”, and the results will be revaluated at the end of the 60 day period, or they might push it out to 90 days. This was all communicated as thought it was a CACI change and not a DCSA change.
Peraton is doing 7 day due dates so it doesn’t appear to be a pilot thing to me. Seems to be very much DCSA driven.
