I’m a current clearance holder enrolled in the CE program. I recently settled a wrongful death lawsuit for a family member which resulted in a substantial settlement. Before depositing the settlement should I notify my security officer as to not raise flags for a large deposit as i would assume it would show in the CE program?

Yes, give your FSO the details as FINCEN alerts government agencies on all deposits over 10k. This will preempt any concerns.
