Hello all- I wonder if some of you experienced guys can give me any input re my new clearance situation… Quick summary: I have been in new civil servant position, working on military base for ~5 months. Just a few days ago I was presented with a DCSA document – the subject of which is, “Intent to Revoke Eligibility for Access to Classified Information and/or Assigned Duties that have been Designated National Security Sensitive”. In my SF-86 & interview – I was very honest about drinking alcohol/smoking weed occassionally in high school & college. The other issue that came up was an arrest in high school at age 18. The charges were running from police and having a fake ID. The charges were dropped at the time & the issue was expunged - this was 6-7 years ago. So, I am beginning the process of providing a written response, per the document, to provide context & clarity to these issues. If you have any input on my situation, I appreciate that. And of course I am also wondering what success rates might be for a case like this. I’ve seen that success rates of actual appeals is single digits low.
