There has been a few deaths and I wasn’t present for family while employed. I miss seeing them even though I was born and raised here for the past few decades. I read a thread warning someone not to visit his family in egypt after a layoff and that it wouldn’t look good. Is this true?
It really doesn’t matter because the travel would have to be reported either way.
I didn’t see the thread about the guy traveling to Egypt, but you can Google which countries the US currently has on their “heightened risk” list, and Egypt is on there. That may be why people were advising him to hold off on travel.
Whatever you decide to do, just make sure to accurately report it to your security department as well in EQIP.
