I failed my first poly (CI only) about 6 weeks ago and taking a second one on Monday. I am a very jittery person and miraculously got through the first flight. But then on the second flight, my toe twitched and I got a shot of adrenaline and I was accused of mishandling classified information. Whats the best way to avoid toe-twitching, or if it happens, what do I do? I suspect that his accusation had more to do with something I said earlier on (something I had overthought but know for a fact that I didnāt do anything wrong). Now that Iām not overthinking, I feel more confident. Also, why doesnāt the NSA publish its statistics for passing a polygraph? And finally, if I do pass, is my initial score ādeception indicatedā still on my record?
Thatās a good question. Iām sure they keep records of everything but the key data point is passing the poly. The detailed records are probably archived somewhere, but so many people donāt pass the first time its hardly significant.
I have my third test for the same agency coming up.
How long did it take to schedule #3?
I got pretty lucky and found an appointment a few weeks out. I emailed them about two weeks after my second and they sent me a link to schedule.
