Porn and Clearance Reinvestigation

Yes there is the sexual behavior/personal conduct questions we ask as part of the 13 areas of ajudicative criteria, however asking a person specifically about legal pornography use in their personal life or marriage is not one of them. The question that’s asks have you engaged in any sexual behavior that is of a criminal nature, even if not prosecuted, or engaged in any compulsive self destructive or high risk sexual behavior that might make you vulnerable to coercion, exploitation or duress is a question that should be routinely asked and this allows a person to self examine any areas of their life that would pertain to this such any sexual addictions, soliciting a prostitute, etc. And the inability to stop viewing pornography and/or compulsive use of pornography is considered a sexual addiction if someone actually is honest with themself.

Agree with Duetooversight, broad questioning is what is supposed to happen. Specific questioning (without a known reason) about viewing pornography is going too far. Really odd.

What’s next, asking how many past sex partners one has had?

Just answer truthfully. Period. The sheer proliferation of porn tells us far more watch than claim to watch. Men and women. Period. If it wasn’t popular it would fade away. Keep it legal, don’t seek kiddie porn. Ever. I’m always amazed how many adults get busted searching for, saving it or communicating with underage people. Remember “To Catch A Predator”? It was buckets and buckets of people. Traveling with condoms, and at times instruments of bondage, weapons. That is gonna be a problem. Imagine a person participating in this? You think they could be blackmailed? I’m pretty much a believer every naughty site ever viewed is tracked. At anytime someone can use our viewing habits to exploit us. Much like people killing spouses looking up “how to kill a spouse. How to remove blood evidence.”

I’m not gonna say don’t do it as I know when the urge happens people will. Period. Even public prudes have sexual habits. Can you be exploited? Are you doing at work? Those are important things to know.

You have had 4 polys in the span of 10 years? I thought reinvestigation is every 5 years so now they just do it as needed?

I really suck at taking poly. I think the fear of taking a polygraph should be an automatic suitability check box…that way I know I am not suitable for this line of work and just move on.

Well, 2 and 2. This particular client would re-test a certain%. But yeah you go back and they make it seem like you failed…“I think we both know what area gave you trouble…” I guess if I were telling lies I would likely confess then. But they can get in your do-loop, make your head spin.
