I have a somewhat unique situation in that I smoked weed once ~2 years ago at a friend’s house. When I did it I was working for an agency where I have a public trust.

I immediately disclosed it to my managers at my firm and was able to keep my job and I haven’t done anything else illegal before or since and I have largely disassociated with the friend in question I also kept my job at said agency.

My question is, do I have a prayer in getting a Security Clearance in the future?

I would say yes, especially seeing as how you reported the matter promptly. Not saying it might not take longer than usual, but it should not be a problem. Have as much detail as possible regarding date, employer, manager, etc because I suspect the investigator would want such details.
