Interesting. Do you know when your BI was completed and sent? Also, have you had your poly scheduled?
I don’t understand what paperwork is required from you… anything additional to SF86?
They needed proof of payment for 2 things that showed up on my credit report. My BI was completed in November of last year. The BI said I didn’t have to take a poly.
Finally it has made to the top of somebody’s pile. Usually it goes pretty quickly after that… like maybe a few weeks.
thats my situation now
570+ days since eQip SF86 for TS/SCI for a contract position.

PSI? What is that? Is that the meeting with the investigator?
PSI = personnel security interview (or investigation), depending on context.
It was worded as Personal Security Interview
Thanks… is that something in addition to the regular meeting with an investigator?
Hi,
I have had few PSI. I was told the interviews can spread across multiple appointments depending upon how complex your life has been and the availability of your supporting documents. Was it something in addition, I don’t think so. It were few parts of whole.
PSI, PRSI, ESI, they are all the same thing. The Subject interview is still an interview with the Subject.
General question: my BI investigation completed 3 months ago, but I’m still not in adjudication because my poly hasn’t been scheduled yet. Obviously I know there was a freeze at some point because of pandemic, but I also know that people had their poly’s being scheduled for some time now.
According to DOD client who performed my interview - my case was expedited, but that’s only the BI portion, I dont think they have any control over what happens next. Question: can my contractor, who is sponsoring me for TS/SCI, get in touch with the client and push/ask why a 3 months delay or do they generally don’t care, since they likely process a lot of people for the same role? Not that my contractor is super responsive to my questions anyway…
An expedited BI only means your submitter paid an extra couple hundred dollars to have your “completion date” shortened. The expedited BI has nothing to do with the importance of the position nor is it a guarantee of quick completion. It just moves your case further up the front of the line when initiated.
It does not expedite any other part of the process.
I would say this is not impossible, but very unlikely. I think the only situation something like this could happen is if there is some work that is at risk of not being completed by some critical deadline, and then the contractor and the customer together would go to the security office to request some kind of priority processing.
Since everything is more or less on hold right now, I would not expect this to happen.
There are priority cases and non-priority cases. Linguists, medical staff, and some federal positions are priority cases and get processed first. If you don’t fall into those categories, they’ll get to you when they get to you.
Even if you are a priority case, the totality of the process still takes as long as it takes. Rarely is any applicant “fast-tracked” through the security process.
Thank you. I am one of those cases that you mentioned, still probably not as big of a priority. I guess I’ll wait my turn…
Oh wow good to know… I’m in priority cases as well:pray: 570+ days and still waiting
Write to your senator, it might give it a push it needs.
Got an email from my contractor. Apparently my DOD client hasn’t resumed polygraphs yet…I guess they all decide for themselves when to open up. I would think there would be some central authority telling all DOD departments/branches when to open up.
My timeline so far:
Pysch Eval July 2019
Polygraph July 2019
Eqip re-submitted Jan 2020 --the switched forms to the current SF86
BI conducted March 2020
Finger Prints late June 2020
I held a previous TS/SCI clearance before but needed updated SSBI due to nature of the position overseas. I dont know why I was scheduled for a fingerprint so late…and COVID has not made it any better.
