These companies who do real work are being hampered by a big bureaucratic clusterf*ck of a process that has become excessively onerous to people doing do the field work (investigators) and reviewers. As the work becomes more burdensome the turnover rate (due to low-paying job not worth it and contractor companies bragging about how they have more applications than positions so don’t let he door hit you…) makes the slapdash process becomes even more burdensome and involves re-doing work previously half-done.
