I am a Intermittent employee for HHS and I have a Public Trust clearance I am going to work for an organization that requires a US DOD NACI clearance. They want me to give up the Public Trust Clearance and say I cannot have both clearances.Is this true? I want to keep my clearance and my Intermittent employee status with HHS. Can someone please give some guidance.
You do not have a clearance, you have a favorably adjudicated investigation with eligibility to occupy a public trust position. And, because the investigation meets or exceeds the requirements for the lower level Tier 1 for DoD no new investigation is needed.
