Chances of TS SCI adjudication LE?

Hello,

I’m a 21 year old college senior in the process for a federal LE agency.

I submitted my SF86 in December,2025.

My only red flags are:

Adderall usage 4 times, first time November 2022 for studying. 3 other uses occurred between then November, 2023 and June 2024 in a recreational way with friends.

Each time they were from a friend and did not purchase or seek them out.

Marijuana usage 15 times starting in highschool around April 2019 and ending Fall 2021

Once again never purchased, sold or owned paraphernalia.

Since June 2024, I’ve successfully completed two moderate backgrounds, had 3 federal internships and a LE co op position.

I’ve implemented mitigation strategies since the past usages and have had excelled in and out of the classroom for my university

Any info is appreciated

Thanks

Some Fed LE agencies are very strict on any drug usage, and since they get such a flood of applicants they can get away with it.

Did this agency have a drug policy on their “careers” page? Some used to and they were pretty blunt.

Personally I’ve only ever dealt with DoD and IC clearances, just heard about LE clearances second hand. Anyway, until you get the “thanks for your interest” email you’re still in the running.

Also, they do not have a public drug policy, but I’m compliant with other federal LE agencies that fall under the same department. I made it through the whole process for Secret Service and they were fine with my usage.

I’ve already been hired and onboarded, there’s just been a surge of applicants so they’re doing backgrounds on a rolling basis.

I interned with them too and had my background done for them with no issues

That sounds like a good sign.
