Clearance denied due to debit

Did your friend continue to work during the SOR hearing/ investigation?

Yes . . . and continued through the hearing and eight months waiting to hear from the judge. In the end, it was almost three years.

Oh man - I am glad they let you work. I am sure that was not fun times ! It is going to be a long marathon for me !!

YES! THAT is the information I’m looking for! Were you an SI or adjudicator at some point? Because I think that answers my question about whether I should file CH 11 with our earth-shattering debt issues (all due to periods of unemployment and my wife’s medical condition). I think you just put me over the top on this nerve-wracking decision, which has just been tearing us up for nearly a year.

KD you don’t automatically lose your clearance I am sorry that I missed that point. During a re - investigation you fill out all the necessary paperwork and be honest and provide the why your issues happened and what your doing about them. Show a good faith attempt to honor the debts. The investigation will look at the whole person and decide if you are a risk or has the risk been mitigated. If you get a denial you go through a process, yes you keep your job, and then a final decision will be made. Based on your candor here and you having good credit most of your life, however due to circumstances beyond your control you have issues but your taking care of them. I am confident you will be ok. Rest well tonight.
