I worked for a county Law Enforcement agency for 17 1/2 years. I was a civilian that had access to NCIC. I am trying to figure out what security level I have. Looking for a new job stopped working there 4 months ago.
I was hoping somebody with actual knowledge would have replied by now. Nobody has, so I’ll chime in. I don’t think any federal clearance or public trust is required to access NCIC so you most likely don’t have one. I think that the local agency just has to certify your need and monitor that NCIC is used appropriately.
