I have a CI and need to get a FSP for a contract supporting an IC customer. I recently submitted a new SF86 on the NBIS site. Is this just a package that gets sent to the customer or will they redo the background investigation?
If it’s the same clearance level or lower, then it’s probably just for suitability. If it’s for higher level clearance than you have, then it could be new BI.
Yeah I already hold a TS with CI Poly. This position needs a FS Poly, hence the need for a CCA request. What do you think? New BI?
Sounds like just a suitability investigation to me.
What does that mean?
Clearance investigation is the long one to get you access to classified info. Suitability gets you into an agency. That’s usually when they add a poly and such.
