Recently withdrew from background investigation for clearance upgrade after talking to boss (Upgrade was optional). This was right before BI interview (investigator called to set up).
Im wondering if this will negatively impact my ability to get an upgrade in the future? Ive heard an open investigation can be make it hard. It seems like the investigation itself has been stopped since withdrawing but Ive also heard stories of investigations not actually stopping or being open.
