I recently was offered a job where I need a DOE Q clearance. I was separated from the national guard 6 years ago do to some family issues and was given a general discharge (under honable conditions). Was wondering if this would cause any serious issues obtaining the clearance? Its a great job that i am excited about. I have done several great things since this separation. I.e obtained 2 college degrees including a MBA. lived at the same home and have no financial issues or any criminal issues. Just wanted to know if I will be able to get the clearance. I have the same issue. How is going with the clearance?
I dont start the job until Jan 5th so dont know anything yet. But they have approved a temporary clearance for me to begin working then.
