Is it possible to get a Q clearance with an OTH discharge? I have had an ADP II with it, and several other public trust level clearances. With the ADP II I just explained what happened and owned up to it. The discharge was Separation Code HSG1, which is Failure to participate Reserver not on active duty board waived. Basically I missed several drills that were unexcused due to family issues. The discharge occurred in 2000.
If everything in your scenario are the only issues then the concerns can be mitigated. Only those dishonorably discharged from the military are prohibited from being granted a clearance in accordance with the Bond Amendment.
