General discharge and obtianing Q clearance

I recently was offered a job where I need a DOE Q clearance. I was separated from the national guard 6 years ago do to some family issues and was given a general discharge (under honable conditions). Was wondering if this would cause any serious issues obtaining the clearance? Its a great job that i am excited about. I have done several great things since this separation. I.e obtained 2 college degrees including a MBA. lived at the same home and have no financial issues or any criminal issues. Just wanted to know if I will be able to get the clearance. A general discharge under honorable conditions 6 years ago is mitigated by time elapsed, even if it was for adverse conditions. If that is the only concern you should be good to go as long as you are forthright and honest about it!
