I am working on a position with an active security clearance. However, after some issues are reported, my manager gave me a very bad review which could lead to a termination. I am thinking just to quit and leave everything in the past. In such as case, how could I exit the position gracefully? What do I need to do with my clearance?
Find another job first! Now would be the worst time to just leave. Especially since there’s no guarantee they would terminate you.
What could I do to rebut his bad performance review in order to save my reputation? If no action is taken, it could be very bad for my future clearance process.
I’m not familiar with federal employee performance reviews. All I can say is performance reviews mean very little for contractors. If this PR is a killer, you can try switching to contract instead.
