I failed my 3rd polygraph a few months ago and my conditional access was revoked due to that. My contract elected to continue submitting me for polys and I just got my 4th scheduled. In my 3rd polygraph, the examiner told me I passed the suitability portion but failed CI - since I passed suitability will my 4th poly only be CI?
Separate but related, I made an admission in my 1st poly about serious crime(prostitution 5 years ago). Does me continuing to be scheduled for polys indicate whether that is a disqualifying admission? I assume they would not continue to waste their time and money if it was an automatic disqualifier so I am thinking I must have a chance of being favorably adjudicated (provided I pass 4th poly) - would I be correct on this?
Sure but it’s federal legality was not what I was questioning - the suitability portion covers involvement in serious crimes and prostitution was an explicit example given, therefore I told the truth when asked.
Point being, you didn’t technically do anything illegal (in the scope of the federal investigation) so presumably, the only issue is whether they feel it makes you vulnerable to blackmail. So just do act/say anything that makes it sounds like you’re embarrassed or hiding it.
Update: Passed my 4th poly (CI only). I was told everything goes to QC and then to adjudications. How long is that generally taking now? As a reminder, this is for a contractor position with the NSA and I already hold an active TS/SCI so I’m assuming they’re just adjudicating for SCI/suitability.
