My really close friend applied for a bpa job and has depression. How do you pass a poly with depression? They were told he was close to the threshold but passed. Its now being sent to quality review.

Mental health issues are not automatically disqualifying as long as they are being treated and have a favorable future prognosis. Lots of intelligence community employees have prescribed medications to help with a variety of mental health conditions. As long as they are fully disclosed and are under control they can get cleared.

On knowledge and belief, this is not true for the Secret Service. They will bounce you for any mental health issue disclosed unless you are in the friends and family plan.
