I took my job seriously while I was at GDIT and I only had maybe a month of struggling to make numbers (this was during the government wide layoff earlier this year when I had to track down people who had applied for government jobs, but were no longer interested or were just unable to be tracked down) before I came back up to my usual good performance level. As far as GDIT’s training, you’re right about that. I was taught one thing in training and then once I was out in the field, I was told one completely different thing. Most of the stuff I worked on were reopens that I had done about four or five times. Not necessarily due to the training, but because of the different reviewers who took a look at the case and its reports. Each one had their own reasons for the reopen. I was one of the ones who was last hired and first fired earlier this year, but I’m going to move on to something else. I learned a lot from the job regardless.
