Getting started

I found this forum and have more questions than when I started. So I’ll start easy. How do you get started getting an entry level clearance? I’ve been working as a Investigator since 2008. Every once in a while I see these background investigator positions come up and could never apply as I have no security clearance. Any help would be appreciated.

You can’t get an entry level clearance on your own. You can get an entry level position with one of the contractors and they will sponsor a background investigation for you to get cleared to work.
