I applied for different positions through the DOS and DOD, I have started my DOS e-QIP application but I am now hearing back from the other offers. Can I apply for both at the same time? Is there something that prevents me from doing so ?
You are free to apply everywhere and anywhere. I would explain you submitted SF86’s or Equips, only if you completed them and submitted. Let the best offer win.

I am pretty sure State Dept does their own thing and rarely acknowledges the existence of any other agencies with the possible exception of CIA.
