Hi,
I was wondering which IC Agencies do full scope vs CI? Like NRO, DIA, NSA?
I went to the IC careers website to see what they had to say and this was all I found:
Some agencies require you to take a polygraph test. You may be asked about involvement in criminal activity or illegal drugs, falsifying security forms and involvement in espionage, sabotage, terrorist activities or compromising classified information.
So if they don’t want to be any more specific than that, neither do I
It can be called the “full scope” or “extended scope” or “lifestyle” but don’t worry, they can make the CI poly just as unpleasant. And I’m pretty sure that they can “expand” the scope of the polygraph if they feel it is necessary.
And speaking of the IC careers web site, they still do not list CIA jobs but at least they do have a link on there now. Progress…?
NSA civilians and CIA employees need FS polygraphs. NSA military, NRO, DIA, and NGA only require CI poly as a minimum. There are positions, however, which require FS in the latter as well.
Further to this, the federal law enforcement agencies that conduct polygraph screening (e.g., FBI, DEA, CBP) utilize a “full scope” or “lifestyle” format.
