Hi, I hold an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) - would this be a big factor in affecting my chances of getting an interim secret clearance? It is not technically dual citizenship, it is more of a green card equivalent.
They have the same kind of card for many areas/countries (like Hong Kong) as it makes it easier to travel. However, it is considered a foreign nation benefit and you would have to agree to either turn it in, destroy it, or have it held for safekeeping were you granted eligibility for a clearance. As far as an interim…I would be of the opinion probably not.
