I’m processing for two different IC agencies. If the following happened, would it still count as a background investigation for the SF 86? (“Has the U.S. Government ever investigated your background?”)
Agency A does their polygraph and psych before they perform the BI. I gave them an SF86.
I took my poly today, but I just also got a CJO from Agency B. I’m getting cold feet about agency A because I don’t want to drive an hour each way and agency B is 10 minutes from my apartment.
If I withdrew my application from agency A, which does their poly and psych before kicking off the BI, would I have to list that as a background investigation on my SF86 for agency B even though they haven’t checked my credit and they obviously didn’t do the investigation? Or does the poly count as an investigation?
