After reading a lot of posts here where individuals got laid go due to mishaps in reinvestigation (either failed poly, suitability issues, etc), I started to wonder, is it really worth it to take a career in the IC community that requires FSP?
The thing is I am terrible at taking poly, and I cannot imagine having to do this every five years (or whenever they want)! I have a very stable government job for a different department that is almost guaranteed to last forever (unless I am charged with murder), but the job is mundane. While I am excited about the prospective job in the IC community, I am not sure if it is worth while.
What is your experience? Do you like it working in the IC community?
