It’s hard to say from what you’ve written here whether you have been deemed to have failed your polygraph. Note that with certain federal agencies (particularly the NSA and CIA) it is routine for applicants to initially be accused of lying or withholding information, only to be brought back for one, two, or sometimes even more follow-up sessions so long as no disqualifying admissions are made.
With federal law enforcement agencies, if you’re told at the end that you failed, then that’s likely indeed how the charts were scored, and it means the end of your hiring prospects (and in the case of the FBI, blacklisting for life).
From what I’ve heard (and not from any official statements), any kind of admission during the poly attracts great scrutiny and usually results in a “fail.” That’s a very general statement but the takeaway is that an admission that the information on the forms is incorrect or incomplete is a bad thing.
Sounds like they’re still processing your application. Much as it sucks, no news is usually good news. If the poly was definitely disqualifying I think you’d have heard something by now.
