I’m highly considering living in a Van. I am curious if this will affect me getting a security clearance in the future or maintaining one.
Any thoughts/ideas?
Didn’t this come up before? I understand a lot of people with jobs in places like San Francisco where the cost of living is exorbitant are pursuing this option.
Can’t recall the discussion but it would help if you had a reference who knows you and knows you are living in a van and can help confirm that for the investigator.
I lived in my car, can confirm I was asked 1 question about this (regarding who else knew) and nothing more. Stated that it was a lifestyle choice, not due to financial issues. Probably less than a minute total in time was spent speaking about the subject. Received TS/SCI in 4 months. Wasn’t an issue for me.
