Mandatory Electronic Case Notes

I am curious to know if other vendors are transitioning to a paperless system and switching entirely to Electronic Case Notes (ECNs).

I’m an IC with a subcontractor of Canda Solutions, under CACI. We are going entirely paperless and strictly using ENC for all interviews and records. Personally, I absolutely despise it.

What are your thoughts and who else has been issued this mandate?

Post this in the investigator section and hopefully you’ll get more responses. I’m with another vendor and not heard anything about electronic case notes being required.

Well the good news is we have next to zero work so ECN won’t be a problem for us

Not even a peep about it from one of the other subs, and I work both.

I am with the “other” Prime and the acronym ECN has not come up this year. In theory, I would love it (I type much faster and more legibly than I write).

Are you a Canda sub?

I don’t even see how that could be mandated. What about interviews that take place in secured areas with no devices allowed?

Exactly! But we were told to instruct the Subject to meet us at a different location, and if that is not possible, then we would revert to handwritten notes and printout forms. IMO, it’s very unprofessional.
