I signed everything. I thought I was going to start months ago. I haven’t even started training.
I know a few investigator who went on to do something else, and they didn’t have to pay for the clearance. They never started. The company couldn’t due to work. Two were with ISN and the other with Caci
Im in FL…but There’s loads of work in LA… I see job postings all the time byseveral vendors
There have always been postings for jobs in the LA, SF and DC areas. The cost of living in those areas is so high and these vendors do not pay enough for someone to survive in those spots. Those postings will never go away.
And wouldn’t you know it, another round of layoffs.
Perspecta did a rift. I doubt if you will have to pay any monies back. They didn’t give you any work. Move on and get another job. I worked with them for six years.
Sorry to hear Nett. Best of luck on your future!
Zero work since November. Zero information as to why and zero forecast for the future.
Latest…just heard Perspecta is making people take reduced hrs and use leave to make it up.
Funny small world. Heard that too. Looks like SCIS layoffs are on the horizon as well. Not sure what’s going on over there but I bet we will soon find out!
That’s how it was back when I left in May, sucks to know it hasn’t gotten any better. I hope the FIs there have good luck finding new opportunities
I don’t know about that… We’ve actually seen an increase in work recently. I’m an IC though.
FT plus workload at SCIS. Not sure how long this will last but I’ll ride the wave for as long as I can.
Very little scis dcsa in ca for at least 4 people that i know of but it may be due to an in process chg of cac’s…we shall see.
Yesterday’s email had a few details with some sketchy reasoning. BS radar on high alert at the moment. You’d think management forgot those announcements are read by investigators- despite that hangin in for a while longer.
No kidding! BS radar on high alert here too, but honestly I think he might believe it. I have 2 alternate cases and no dcsa so I fully expect a bomb.
We were told there was some sort of scheduling glitch last week due to the contract changeover from NT Concepts to a new company that resulted in no cases being released last week. This week predicted to be better.
Did SCIS lay off again since the sneaky RIF in June 2020? Right after we were all assured no layoffs were happening?
I haven’t heard of another lay off…however we’re still on reduced hours yet they’ve hired part timers who are guaranteed 20 hrs a week… BS nonsense.
Haven’t heard anything about a rif. I just got bumped to full time hours and have a crap ton of DCSA work.
