If you still want to reapply to them, then you should probably stop watching hentai, especially lolicon. Even though the legality of lolicon is not strictly illegal, that agency treats lolicon like it is illegal. My advice moving forward is to stop watching lolicon altogether. You may also want to get an evaluation to show that you are not a diagnosed pedophile or have a porn addiction because this will show the government that you have taken steps to mitigate their previous concerns.
Should you get another job offer with them in the future, stop blabbing what kind of porn you watch to the government. You have nothing to gain by telling them you watch porn. As long as you are not watching something illegal, you do not have to tell them anything.
Do you really think no one at that agency or no one who holds a clearance watches porn. Your polygrapher and adjudicator probably watch porn too and they successfully got cleared. They got cleared by not oversharing their pornographic viewing habits. Therefore, you should too next time.
You will have to acknowledge you were previously denied a clearance, leads to why when where. But if they said reapply in a year? Do it. Stay in scope talking about all things. Id like to say “now you know what to face in a poly,” honestly each is as individual as they get. They suck. Ask yourself how an ses level guy can steal 40 million in gold, stolen time, with very little of the education and jobs he claimed. And get cleared.
An outright denial is a much bigger deal than a suitability issue where you can reapply in 12 months. Some folks get in after their 2nd or 3rd or even 4th try.
This is certainly the prevailing wisdom, but I’m not sure it is entirely true.

Yikes. I really thought it just meant like, cartoon porn or some such. Ignoring the more obvious question and skipping to the slightly less obvious, why on earth would you tell a poly examiner you watch that?
I’m sure polygraphers could tell some pretty crazy stories about what they get people to disclose. Probably a major topic of conversation when they get together.
Update: no updates yet but I expect this to be 3-5 year long process (maybe longer given the hiring freeze - unsure if they continued to process SOR appeals during that period) so it’s not too of my mind at the moment.
You need to move on. Find some real person porn and write this one off and ride into the sunset.
My FOIA request took 5 or 7 years.. I forget which one but it was a LONG time.
13 yrs later, i was denied by them for issues they had already adjudicated positively. I’m in appeal now and am at stage 3, 6 years later. They are a not fair in this process at all. I would write them off. They aren’t as good as they think they are anyway.
