Submitted EQIP, then got an email from recruiter saying " In your case, the foreign national associations preclude your assignment to the position originally offered to you". What does this mean and what are my options?
Perhaps your position required a very high clearance or they needed someone eligible for an interim, and they are dubious that you would be able to get cleared based on your associations with foreign nationals?
It might be helpful if you could state the level of clearance and describe your foreign national situation a bit. It could possibly be a recruiter that is new and/or doesn’t know what they are talking about, but I am uncertain of how to work with that issue.
It probably has nothing to do with you being able to get a clear but that the number (and nationality) of your foreign contacts makes you a poor fit for the position you were being considered for. This is known as a “suitability denial” and there is really nothing that you can do. There is no line of appeal.
