Should I be worried about a potential denial?

Hi there, I have been waiting in adjudication for round about 7 months for a secret. I got granted an interim pretty quickly and have been working at my agency since then. I’m here to ask what is the chance that I’m going to get denied. My red flags (I believe) are:

  • My partner’s aunt lives in France, and apparently was previously a consular employee for a Caribbean country’s foreign affairs ministry in France. She is listed as a foreign contact.

  • I listed a foreign contact, which to be clear I listed because I thought any foreigner who had my phone number from college counted, who happens to be from a relatively “interesting” muslim country that isn’t Iran. I haven’t talked to him in a couple of years, and have no intention of doing so.

  • too many foreign contacts

  • On my sf-86 I did not put down the full extent of my weed use. In particular, that I had purchased a few times, years ago, and later called my investigator to correct the record. (lack of candor?)

  • Had a minor security violation recently. Reported it immediately when it happened. No leakage and no consequences for me. I don’t believe it got put in DISS.

Am I screwed? Reading this forum and various subreddits makes me more anxious than anything else.

The only real issue is the weed. You should be honest with them now and it will save you the headache.

What is “too” many foreign contacts? Nobody can really tell you anything solid here. It’s all just speculation.

They already know about the purchases. Also I adjusted the timeline in the same call.

more than five. After talking it over we got it down to three. The lack of candor thing has me freaking out though. Did that call save my ass or make life way harder?

Anything anyone tells you here is just speculative. Federal work (government or contractor) isn’t the most stable right now. You probably should be more worried about RIFs. Expect the worst but hope for the best.
